The Sims 2 - Importing Downloads

There are two types of files that contains sims downloads:
1) Houses, Walls and Floors, Package Sims (.sims2pack, .sims2skin):
If you want to use the Houses from the Downloads. These are in the .sims2pack format, or other files in .sims2pack, .sims2skin format:
Open the package and doubleclick on the icon and it will install itself automatically after you click on install. The house will appear in the lots bin in the Neighborhood screen.
2) Other Downloads (.package; like skins, make-up, genetics, clothes, meshes and so on):
These are in the files in .package format:
Install the packages files in the folder (PC):
Downloads: My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads
Install the packages files in the folder (Mac):
Downloads: Users/”name of your folder”/Documents/EA GAmes/the Sims 2/Downloads/
Create a folder “Downloads” if you do not have one.
You can also create a sub-folder to store your objects, for example:
My documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Downloads/Objects
